Postcards Available for Purchase at Roc Holiday Village Merch Tent
City of Rochester Roc Holiday Village presented by Five Star Bank announced that Corinne Fallone is the winner of the event’s 2nd annual postcard contest.
Fallone is a 26-year old Rochester native, born and raised in Chili. She is engaged to Daniel Yancone, a CPA at The Bonadio Group.
Postcards will be sold for $2 each or as sets of 3 for $5 in the Village Shopping Roc Holiday Village merchandise tent.
“The arts have been a passion of mine ever since I was a child, I was always the last kid in art class to finish a project, enjoying the process of it all,” said Fallone. “I loved creating art to gift to friends and family. No matter what occasion — birthday, anniversary, holiday — I have always created artwork for it, using it to spread happiness to others.”
“I entered this contest because I was inspired by the beautiful photography that captured the energy from last years event. The glowing lights, smiling faces, beautiful decor and sense of community that I felt when I attended the event last year was something worth a work of art. I love capturing feeling in my work, and the spirit of Roc Holiday Village brought so much joy to the community, it felt right creating something cheerful to merit this wonderful event.”
“I used to love creating holiday-themed art as a child, so whenever I create holiday artwork now, as a professional artist, I know that my work is an expression of my truest self. I hope my artwork inspires the spirit of Christmas for all ages and reminds everyone to be the truest version of themselves.”
Fallone studied illustration at RIT and started her own business, CAF Creations, in 2014. She started working as a freelance artist right out of college and sold her own creations on her website and at local festivals.
In 2016, she was mentored by world renowned artist and live painter, Eric Waugh, who inspired her love for impressionism. She was accepted into an artist in residence program on a luxury cruise ship, Azamara, in 2017 and traveled through Europe as a live painter on the ship. She sold her artwork to collectors from all over the world while traveling, painting European landscapes with the inspiration that surrounded her travels.
Fallone currently live paints at weddings and special events, capturing happy moments in peoples lives and creating a keepsake for them for generations to come.
